Barkinside Sanctuary promotes those dogs in our care and gives regular updates on their progress and welfare. We also post photos and information on each dog and the daily life of the Rescue Centre and Sanctuary and the work we do here. Our spending on food, vets bills, special dietary requirements, medical care is a huge monthly expense and we are in a constant struggle with it daily. We always have over 30 dogs in our care and others coming in every week. We are lucky to have a good homing rate. The more we home the more we can save. All photos and information are current and are updated as often as we are able [as of today's date 12th June 2025] The dogs below are either resident at Barkinside Sanctuary , with fantastic fosters or desperately looking for a family to love them. We try to help any dogs we can, no matter of age, health, condition, or size. Some of them have been here for a short time and sadly some longer. Some will stay with us at the sanctuary for good. Some of them are small and some large. But they all just want to be loved. They all have big hearts and are waiting to share them with families, or with us here. They each have their own profiles or they are being created. Please take a look and give those that can find a home a chance. She is coming to us tomorrow. Isn't she beautiful. 13th January 2026 Transport has been a bit of a problem but this beautiful little girl is arriving this afternoon. She will not be for homing, but to spend the rest of her days with us and the littlies in the sanctuary. Freddie AVAILABLE He is only about 5 months old and was found wandering in amongst dangerous traffic. He is now safe and looking for his forever home. We know she had leishmaniosis, but we need, through, bloodwork to see how she is doing. Our vet was very pleased, so we just wait for the results. We then decided to street test her with other dogs and people. She's awesome 8th May 2025 Yesterday our beautiful Pucca was taken on a walk by the lovely Adrian and Sue Swan, who brought her to us from Asoka. She's a wonderful girl. The Barkinside financial situation has not improved and continues to be an ongoing battle. Everyone at Barkinside is constantly thinking about how to bring in extra money. But we think their model fits Barkinside and our supporters well. This method of sponsorship opens up supporting Barkinside to a wider public, and turns what can be a bit of a boring (especially for younger people) donation system into a two way and fun interaction. All animals in our care will have a number, so: this can be included in the reference of the chosen donation method, so specific donations can, wherever possible go towards spending on items, food, toys, gifts or care for a specific animal of your choice, sponsorship packages can be given as gifts for birthdays and Christmas / Holidays to friends, family and loved ones (please read more about this here), each animals number will relate to a special section on their personal profiles (these can be found on our Our Dogs page which will have a list of suggested gifts, items the dog needs and things that maybe arent so urgent but would increase their quality of life - or maybe their favourite treats they will be given a birthday even if we dont have an official one (maybe the date they were rescued), so their sponsors can send a birthday card or gift (the same for other notable dates in each dogs calendar)etc) when the times comes for a sponsored dog to make its journey across the Rainbow Bridge (please see our new Rainbow Bridge collection here , currently under construction), small memorial gifts can be purchased for the gardens or special arrangements can be made for the current sponsorship to be transferred with ease and no extra fees or chatges, like the way their sponsorship system works not just from the financial Point of view of Barkinside but also to increase the connexion between our supporters and the dogs luxury treat bag special bed gift new jacket new collar favourite treats (offer basic choices) SPONSOR A DOG SPONSOR A DOG SPONSOR A DOG SPONSOR A DOG
