Barkinside Sanctuary promotes those dogs in our care and gives regular updates on their progress and welfare. Our spending on food, vets bills, special dietary requirements, medical care is a huge monthly expense and we are in a constant struggle with it daily. We always have over 30 dogs in our care and others coming in every week. We are lucky to have a good homing rate. The more we home the more we can save. All photos and information are current and are updated as often as we are able [as of today's date 12th June 2025] The dogs below are either resident at Barkinside Sanctuary , with fantastic fosters or desperately looking for a family to love them. We try to help any dogs we can, no matter of age, health, condition, or size. Some of them have been here for a short time and sadly some longer. Some will stay with us at the sanctuary for good. Some of them are small and some large. But they all just want to be loved. They all have big hearts and are waiting to share them with families, or with us here. They each have their own profiles or they are being created. Please take a look and give those that can find a home a chance. Nous sauvons les chiens où nous le pouvons qui sont jugés irrécupérables, âgés, malades, blessés, mentalement marqués/effrayés. Nous ne sommes pas un chenil en pension. Nous ne sommes pas un protectora, nous ne pouvons donc pas légalement récupérer les chiens errants locaux. Vous êtes les bienvenus pour venir nous rendre visite, je n'aime rien de plus que les visiteurs (jouer, marcher ou simplement s'asseoir avec les chiens, il y a des zones réservées juste pour cela), ou apporter des dons, des articles pour la foire Boot ou, espérons-le, adopter /parrainer un chien. They are Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 2pm. Strictly by appointment only. On Saturday's we are now busy preparing for the boot fairs, and making some time for ourselves on Mondays gives us breathing space and time to unload the van, vets etc. Our working day averages 14 to 16 hours, with 36 dogs, horses, cats etc, so please be patient with us. She is coming to us tomorrow. Isn't she beautiful. 13th January 2026 Transport has been a bit of a problem but this beautiful little girl is arriving this afternoon. She will not be for homing, but to spend the rest of her days with us and the littlies in the sanctuary. Freddie AVAILABLE He is only about 5 months old and was found wandering in amongst dangerous traffic. He is now safe and looking for his forever home. We know she had leishmaniosis, but we need, through, bloodwork to see how she is doing. Our vet was very pleased, so we just wait for the results. We then decided to street test her with other dogs and people. She's awesome 8th May 2025 Yesterday our beautiful Pucca was taken on a walk by the lovely Adrian and Sue Swan, who brought her to us from Asoka. She's a wonderful girl.
