Upcoming events from Barkinside for the rest of 2025

...as you may have heard already Barkinside is in a bit of a pickle (again). While we were 500km away from the sanctuary our transport decided to completely die, it is beyond repair this time.

Without our transport barkinside cannot function, sorry to state the obvious here but we need it for so many things from shopping for everything needed for the Sanctuary humans and the animals, constant emergency and regular visits to the vets, rescuing animals, collecting donated items, transporting everything to and from the various car boots table top sales and fundraising events, bringing everything to the site for our constant dedicated improvement programme (this is not an ehaustive list, if i made a complete list of everything we need it for we'd be here all day!).

We have a GoFundMe appeal underway which is set to raise up to €5000.

We are overwhelmed and so grateful that as of todays date (24th October 2025) this has already raised €987 from only NINE donations.

As you can see from the Facebook post made by Jacquie (below) nearly two weeks agon on the 11th October, on top of the funds in the GoFundMe two of our amazing supporters have pledged another €1000 when we find the right van - so we are already nearly halfway to our €5000 target.

"People have had whip rounds at local events, given us change from these, and promised further support. Our dear Sue who made us food and brought it down yesterday. To our dear Bill, who drove the 500klms to pick us up and get us home. To Jo and Steve who have pledged 1000 euros when we find a van. We have some incredible dear friends and supporters. The last week was bloody awful and we have never been so low, but realised , We are beyond blessed, our faith in humanity restored. Never give up, we have more lives to save. We love you all."

While we all gather our thoughts and find even more novel ways to find this money, ours and our supporters usual fundraising events continue.
