Barkinside Animal Sanctuary rescues dogs from the local Alicante area and Spain in general.

We assist other rescues that need help on request where and when possible. 

We are proud to say we accept all dogs. 

Regardless of their age, health or general condition, all are welcome.

Those who are deemed beyond help, or too old, too sick, too injured or too mentally scarred/scared to have 

any future will find a loving and secure home at Barkinside Animal Sanctuary .​

PLEASE NOTE

BARKINSIDE VISTING HOURS

At Barkinside our working day averages around14hrs-16hrs hours.
We have 36 dogs, horses, cats etc, so please be patient with us.

Due to the additional preparation and work required to support our new fundraising
Car Boot Fairs we've had to rearrange our visiting times:​

They are Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Strictly by appointment only.

On Saturday's we are now busy preparing for the boot fairs, and making some time for ourselves on Mondays gives us breathing space and time to unload the van, vets etc.

A big thank-you to everyone who plays a part in making sure that Barkinside Sanctaury remains as effective as possible. 

Barkinside Animal Sanctuary is staffed by unpaid volunteers. No one receives payment for their work. 

We do it with love because we love the dogs, its that simple.

Life at the Barkinside Sanctuary is always about the animals first.

We make sure their comfort, security and welfare is our primary concern, it is nothing more than they deserve!

However, all this is great but love doesnt pay the bills.

It is thanks to the donations and tireless fundraising of our supporters. Barkinside is grateful to receive all donations. We understand that what is really being donated is the love of our supporters and we make sure that is passed on too.

Together we make sure the Barkinside Babies live their best possible lives. 

We feel very privileged that the we are able to always be able to put our animals first. Without the kind and genrous donations from our supporters around the world none of this would be possible.
